Bee friends sharing stories ;)
Just a few of the many animals out at Oatland Island.
A newly donated calf, his mom refused to feed him and the owners (members of our bee club) donated him to Oatland Island. He's being taken very good care of by the sweet caregivers that work there!
A message and blessing, from our "Newbee" bee club president, Faith Jaudon and Oatland Islands best, Annie Quinting!
Time to eat!!!!
How adorable!!! I couldn't resist!
We had an awesome turn out for our third year running!! Thanks to everyone that came out!!! We look forward to seeing everyone plus more next year!!!
One of the last classes that started after lunch...the bee yard.
There were classes going on all morning long but we (my husband and I) were floating as were other beekeepers helping out where needed, but this was our main post.
We had an awesome day and we're looking forward to an even bigger turnout next year!!!
Until next time!

Wow. That looks like a lot of fun and it sounds like y'all had a great day. Lunch sounds really good too! I would just love to see that place. I have to say, the cupcakes are my favorite picture! Did you make those? They are sooooo cute! XXXOOO
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a ball! I wish I were there: food, friends...and TREES! :)
ReplyDeleteDid you get to feed the baby calf?
I love southern culture. I used to live in Wilmington, NC and vacationed there a few times too. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Thanks for sharing you pics...
Penny, we did have loads of fun! Lunch was great aand I just loved the cute cupcakes! The little bees especially! No, I didn't make them and before I are it I had to take off the icing! Way too much, and the cupcake alone was perfect! I was impressed with the detail of those little bees, all made by hand and sugar!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by!! XXXXOOOOO
Kim! So glad you stopped by! We did have a wonderful day! LOL! Yes, the trees! ;)
No, I didn't get to feed the calf, Annie asked if I wanted to, but I was in a hurry to get back, so took some quick pics.
